17 June 2024 • 15:40 - 15:55 Japan Standard Time | Room G414/415, North - 4F

Abstract

This paper presents the progress done on early demonstrations (warm electronics, cryo-harness breadboarding,...), while providing an update to the detection-chain design description of the Athena X-IFU instrument.

Hervé Geoffray successfully obtained his PhD thesis in 1998, in the field of detectors and associated instrumentation applied to infrared astronomy. He worked at CNES (French Space Agency) since more than twenty years, in the field of detector developments for space missions. He is currently involved in CNES Earth Observation projects and scientific projects. As such, he is responsible of the X-IFU detection chain for the X-IFU instrument.
