Dr. Luis-Francisco Acevedo-Hueso

I am working at Maven Research (USA). I have been working as a optical systems engineer in microcsopy and spectroscopy for Oxford Immune Algorithmics. I am the former founder and CEO of SpectCell with the University of Edinburgh, and with a patent in Vitro Cell Diagnosis, Medical Devices in 2020. I have gained experience in optoelectronics packaging, optical interferometry and product with BAE Systems, commercialisation with Renishaw plc. My PhD studies resulted in filling a patent in optical metrology and several publications in the same domain. I act as a European Commission Expert for research and commercial grants such as Horizon 2020 and a reviewer for IEEE Photonics, SPIE, UKRI and EPSRC in sensor technology. I am also experienced in industrial product design engineering gained at ABBOT Medical Optics and Optocap. And I am a member of New York Photonics and the University of Rochester. I also have a healthy collaboration with academia and industry in the UK and EU. Eg, Fraunhofer Manufacturing IPA in Germany.
