Johannes Störkle is a doctoral student and research associate at the Institute of Engineering and Computational Mechanics (ITM), University of Stuttgart, Germany. He studied mechanical engineering at the University of Stuttgart, Germany, and wrote his final thesis at the Institute for Dynamic Systems and Control (IDSC) of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, Switzerland. He got his Diploma degree from the University of Stuttgart and joined the ITM in 2013. Furthermore, he collected work experience in companies like ABB, Alstom, Bosch-Mahle and Porsche. His main research interests are the integrated modeling, dynamical-optical simulation, optimization and control of high performance optics using model order reduction methods and elastic multibody systems. In 2012 he got a grant for the research stay and writing of the diploma thesis at the ETH Zurich Thomas Gressmann Foundation. Furthermore he got in 2015 the EUSPEN Heidenhain Scholarship and in 2016 the SPIE Travel Scholarship, both as travel bursaries to join the related conferences.
