Linda Smith has almost 25 years experience in mergers & acquisitions, strategic marketing, business valuation, product management, and sales in the photonics industry. Her experience includes identifying market opportunities and developing, managing and financing product line growth for both public and private companies preparing for acquisition and financing. She has working experience across markets - from components and lasers to analytical instrumentation and medical devices to end-users in pharmaceutical manufacturing and semiconductor processing.

Ms. Smith held senior and executive product management, strategic marketing and sales management positions at Thermo Electron/Spectra Physics/Newport, LINOS Photonics and Melles Griot - leading manufacturers and suppliers of optical components, lasers, and contract manufacturing services. She also held executive marketing positions at early stage, venture capital funded companies commercializing silicon based integrated optics and MEMS based photonics technologies.

Linda is a Series 79 Registered Investment Banking Representative. She holds Bachelor of Science degree in Optics and Mathematics from University of Rochester and a Masters in Business Administration degree from Babson College. She is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) and member of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneurial Winning Women class of 2008.
