Dr. Yao-Wei Huang is an Assistant Professor of Photonics and Yushan Young Scholar at the National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU). He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA). He is experienced researcher and scientist with a demonstrated history of working in Harvard, Caltech, and NUS. He is skilled in Nanophotonics, Physics, Materials Science, Nanofabrication, and Nanotechnology. And He has strong research professional with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Applied Physics from National Taiwan University. His research interests include nanophotonics, metasurfaces, inverse design, structured light, dispersion engineering, computational visual sensing, and their innovative applications in extended reality and LiDAR. His work is focused on metasurface applications for the betterment of human well-being.
