Profile Summary

Ulises Orozco-Rosas received his B. Eng. degree in electronic engineering from Universidad Autónoma de Baja California, Mexico, in 2004. He received his MSc degree and Ph.D. in computer science from Instituto Politécnico Nacional, Mexico, in 2014 and 2017, respectively. He held a postdoctoral position, from 2017 to 2018 he was appointed at ETSII, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Spain. He was a lecturer at Universidad Autónoma de Baja California in 2010-17. In 2017, he joins CETYS Universidad where he is currently an associate professor in the School of Engineering. He is a member of the Research National System from CONACYT. His research activities include the design of algorithms and software development for path planning using a deep learning approach. His research interests are Machine Learning, Computational Intelligence, Parallel and Heterogeneous Computing, Autonomous Vehicles, and Mobile Robots. He is a member of the International Association of Engineers (IANG), and of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). As a result of his research activity, he has published more than 25 papers in peer-reviewed journals, books, and conferences.
