Profile Summary

I am a graduate student at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata (IISER Kolkata),India. I am finishing my PhD this year and looking for Post doctoral positions. I am also interested in industry research activities. I am working on micro manipulation of bubbles and its applications using Optical Tweezers. SPIE membership has given me the unique opportunity to expose myself in optics based research in basic sciences and industries. Specially SPIE journals and monthly news are very useful to gather idea about recent developments in different optics based research across the world. I am an active member of IISER Kolkata SPIE student chapter and served as the President of the chapter for 2 years. I am thankful to SPIE for giving me the opportunity to represent our chapter at SPIE Optics + Photonics 2018. The "Student Leadership Workshop" has really helped me develop professionally and connect with students/professionals from all over the world. Overall, SPIE has shaped me as a student, researcher, a better communicator, a professional leader and most importantly as a person. I really enjoy being part of SPIE students community and encourage others to join SPIE.
