Dr. Steven M. Blair

Steven Michael Blair is an assistant professor in the School of Electrical, Computer, and Biomedical Engineering at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He was previously a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He received a Doctor of Philosophy in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Illinois in 2022, a Master of Science in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Illinois in 2018, and Bachelor of Science degrees in electrical engineering and computer engineering from Southern Illinois University in 2016. His research seeks to integrate findings from across the fields of optics, circuits, signal processing, machine learning, and computer vision to advance the standard-of-care for cancer surgery.
