I believe that by expanding your background the chances of making noticeable contributions to the human understanding of the world increase. My predoctoral research at VioBio lab on multifocal solutions for presbyopia provided me with a deep and broad knowledge in the optics of the eye. As a postdoctoral fellow at the Barrow Neurological Institute (BNI) I extended my knowledge of optics to the field of fixational eye movements. After that, I was a Faculty Member at Midwestern University in Chicago. Currently, I hold the position of Director of Research at University of Detroit Mercy School of Optometry.
