Mark Steven Conlon

I have worked in many areas of Optical Systems. I began with devising and testing countermeasures to visible, infrared and laser systems in work for the Army Research Lab (ARL). I then transitioned to DLP projection at Texas Instruments where I wrote optical and spectral requirements documents and started to design illumination and projection lenses for DLP large venue projection systems. I then worked with visible, near infrared, short-wave infrared, mid-wave infrared, and long-wave infrared systems at Raytheon-ELCAN doing lens design, system alignment and test. I then transitioned to Garmin where I was the Optical Engineer for the development of a 30 x 24 degree FOV Head Up Display (HUD) that won installation on the Cessna Longitude business jet. I am currently with Garmin in the Consumer Products group developing optical systems for a number of leisure products.

My interests include autonomous vehicles, action and 360 cameras, HUDs, near-to-the-eye displays.
