Profile Summary

I am a Research Fellow at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine, Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, where I conduct translational research of optical coherence tomography (OCT).

I obtained my Ph.D. and MSc. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Calgary. My graduate research focused on developing spectroscopic systems to measure blood-related changes in a small target volume in the brain. These systems will enable neuroscientists to study how the brain works and explore treatments for brain diseases in animal models.

Apart from research, I am a passionate volunteer with multiple student societies and professional associations. I lead STEM education outreach into the community with the hope to inspire and encourage youth to become the next generation of engineers and scientists. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking for my friends. I am an amateur wildlife and landscape photographer and would like to hike to get the best shot.
