Profile Summary

I am a Hardware Engineer at Apple Health Sensing.

I obtained my Ph.D. and MSc. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Calgary. My graduate research focused on developing spectroscopic systems to measure blood-related changes in a small target volume in the brain. These systems will enable neuroscientists to study how the brain works and explore treatments for brain diseases in animal models. I was a Research Fellow at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine, Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. My postdoctoral training focused on translational research of high resolution optical coherence tomography (OCT) and in-vivo microscopy.

Apart from research, I am a passionate volunteer with multiple student societies and professional associations. I lead STEM education outreach into the community with the hope to inspire and encourage youth to become the next generation of engineers and scientists. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking for my friends. I am an amateur wildlife and landscape photographer and would like to hike to get the best shot.
