Dr. George Tsibidis

George D. Tsibidis is an Associated Researcher in the Institute of Electronic Structure and Laser at the Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas in Heraklion, Greece. He received his PhD in theoretical particle physics from the University of Sussex, UK. His current research interests focus on the theoretical investigation of laser matter interactions for various types of materials including metals, semiconductors, and dielectrics. Particular interest is centered on material surface modification assuming electrodynamic effects, and phase transitions upon irradiation with ultrashort pulsed lasers.
