Profile Summary

Dr. Moody is an Assistant Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at UCSB as of July 2019. Prior to moving to Santa Barbara, he was a Research Scientist (2015-2019) at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Boulder, Colorado, a National Research Council postdoctoral fellow at NIST (2013-2015), and a postdoctoral associate at the University of Texas Austin (2013). He received his PhD in Physics (2013) and his BSc in Engineering Physics (2008) from the University of Colorado Boulder. His research focuses on fabricating and characterizing integrated quantum photonic devices and quantum materials relevant for quantum information processing, communications, and metrology, including 2D materials, semiconductor quantum dots, and hybrid quantum systems.
