Dr. Packard is a principal research engineer and Director of Research & Engineering for ThermoAnalytics, Inc. He has 19 years of experience in physics-based simulation and specializes in thermal simulation and electro-optic signature prediction and analysis in turbulent atmospheres. Dr. Packard holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University, a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University; he completed a PhD in Atmospheric Sciences at Michigan Technological University focusing on aerosols and atmospheric propagation effects on optical sensor performance.
