Dr. Abbas Fotouhi

Abbas Fotouhi received PhD degree in mechanical engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) in 2011 specializing in electric and hybrid electric vehicles. Dr. Fotouhi was a Lecturer and Director of Machine Dynamics and Vibration Lab at Mechanical Engineering Department of Islamic Azad University-Karaj Branch from 2011 to 2013. He joined Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIRO), UTM, in 2013 as a Post Doctoral Fellow. Currently, he is Research Fellow in Electric Vehicle Energy Storage, Optimisation and Control at Cranfield University. He is author of over 20 journal and conference papers. His main research interests are Vehicle-Terrain Interactions, EV, HEV, PHEV Component Sizing and Design, Control Strategies applied for HEV Energy Management System, Vehicle Energy Storage Systems, Vehicle Dynamics Control and Vehicle Health Monitoring & Fault Diagnosis Systems.
