TDBC microstructures made by local photo-bleaching in J-aggregate thin organic layers for photonics applications

Abstract

We have studied the local photobleaching in TDBC layers for grating and strong coupling applications. With this method, the refractive index can be both locally and spectrally modulated. In this work, photobleaching and fabricated micro-devices have been investigated highlighting the high potential of this interesting materials for photonics applications.

Presentation will be given by Alban Gassenq. Komlan Segbéya GADEDJISSO-TOSSOU graduated in physics from University of Lomé, Togo, obtained the master degree and the Ph.D degrees in Optoelectronics, in the same university in colloboration with the Institut d’Electronique du Sud (IES) of University of Montpellier II. After his Ph.D, he has contributed to the FAMU initiative for the laser spectroscopy of exotic atom transitions at Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare (INFN) in ITALY from 2010 till now thanks to ICTP-STEP and ICTP-TRIL programmes. Curently, Komlan is Senior Lecturer at University of Lomé, his research activities are focused on thermal lens spectroscopy for determination of toxic compounds in the environment. He is also working on organic devices for photonics applications in collaboration with the Institut Lumière Matière of Université Lyon 1 in FRANCE.
