Meet the 2022 SPIE Award Recipients
The 2022 award recipients represent a wide range of singular achievements across light-based sciences and technologies. Honoring transformative advancements in multiple areas — including medicine, astronomy, lithography, optical metrology, optical design, and community leadership — the Society's 21 awards recognize technical accomplishments as well as committed service to SPIE and support of its organizational mission.
The SPIE Gold Medal is the highest honor the Society bestows. It is awarded in recognition of outstanding engineering or scientific accomplishments in optics, photonics, electro-optics, or imaging technologies and applications.
