New Student Events at SPIE Defense, Security, and Sensing

Are you coming to Baltimore for SPIE Defense, Security, and Sensing? Tuesday, 24 April is officially Student Day and we have a full schedule of student events; everything from networking tips to guest speakers to panel discussions. We'll conclude the day with a visit to Camden Yards for a Major League Baseball game.

Student Intro Session: Getting the most out of your conference experience
9:00 AM - 10:15 AM
New to conferences or just want some tips on how to maximize the benefits of attending? Enjoy some breakfast and learn how to make the most of your time in Baltimore.

Lunch with the Experts - A Student Networking Event
12:30 PM - 1:30 PM
Enjoy a casual meal with colleagues at this engaging networking opportunity. Hosted by SPIE Student Services, this event features experts willing to share their experience and wisdom on career paths in optics and photonics. Seating is limited and will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Panel Discussion: Getting Hired in 2012 and Beyond
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Join us for a panel discussion on optics and photonics careers in the defense sector. Learn about getting hired and working with defense contractors directly from human resource professionals.

Women in Optics Presentation and Reception
5:00 PM - 6:30 PM
Join us for an evening of networking and inspiration. Connect with others in our industry while enjoying wine and cheese refreshments.

Student Social at Camden Yards
7:00 PM - 9:30 PM
Relax and hang out with new friends and peers while enjoying refreshments and baseball. Space is limited so more details will follow.
