Poland hosts over 125 universities and continues to be a centre of science and technology. Among them are the University of Warsaw, AGH University of Science and Technology, Jagiellonian University, and Warsaw University of Technology. Home to astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus and Nobel Prize winner Maria Skłodowska (Marie Curie); Curie was the first woman to be awarded the prize.
Startup HUB Warsaw - accelerator for high-tech projects - Participation in this program has allowed access to a great network of startups, supporting organizations, scientific organizations, research units and universities as well. Technology focus includes: Sensors - Wearables - Smart Grid - Big Data - Nano-Tech – Cloud Computing - Agro-Tech.
EUROPEAN FUNDING and its continued impact - funding is now going into Poland with the country being part of the MIRPHAB (Mid InfraRed PHotonics devices fABrication for chemical sensing and spectroscopic applications) pilot line that offers funding for companies that meet the application requirements of innovation content and technical feasibility.

SPIE conference papers are published in the Proceedings of SPIE and available via the SPIE Digital Library, the world’s largest collection of optics and photonics research.

The Proceedings are indexed in Web of Science, Scopus, Ei Compendex, Inspec, Google Scholar, Astrophysical Data System (ADS), DeepDyve, ReadCube, CrossRef, and other scholarly indexes, and are widely accessible to leading research organizations, conference attendees, and individual researchers.

SPIE Remote Sensing is co-located with SPIE Security + Defence.  Collaborate on topics of mutual interest with your peers at these premier events.
