Attending ITAR Sessions

The Tech Day ITAR Sessions are open to all USA Persons (citizens and green card holders). Because we are in a hotel venue this year, we will need to check ITAR eligibility on-site at the registration table. Documentation which qualifies you to attend the ITAR session includes: US Passport, US Government Civil Servant ID, copy of Birth Certificate, Green Card, or Visit Authorization letter from your Security Officer.

Cancellation Process
Our contract with the Holiday Inn allows for Tech Days to be cancelled in case of multiple contingencies, including but not limited to Pandemic, Government Travel Restrictions or even Federal Government Shutdown. We are monitoring the Delta surge and the potential for a Mu surge. We plan to make a Go/No-Go decision by Sept 30 (no later than Oct 8).

L3Harris is offering tours of the Roman Space Telescope assembly activity, including (based on availability): Primary Mirror Assembly and Telescope Structure Sub-Systems.

  • Tours will be on Mon Nov 1 starting at noon, running 20 min and ending at 3 pm.
  • Are limited to US Persons (i.e. US Citizens and Green Card Holders)
  • Require a Visit Authorization Form submitted to L3Harris by 27 Sept.

For more information contact Matthew.East@L3Harris.com   Additionally, I expect that other Rochester-based companies and educational and research institutions will offer tours.

SPIE Digital Library
If we have an in-person meeting, we will archive presentations to the SPIE Digital Library.  All Presenters will upload their presentation to SPIE before the meeting.

Thank you for your support of Tech Days.
