To enter Japan, foreign nationals from non-visa-exempt countries must have an approved visa newly issued by the Embassies or Consulates or Consular Office of Japan.
To apply for a visa, please submit the required documents to Japan’s overseas establishments in your country/region. Find the Japanese embassy in your region by visiting the Japanese Embassies, Consulates, and Permanent Missions.
If you need a travel visa, begin the visa application process now. Strict security requirements may cause delays in visa processing. To request an invitation letter and supporting documents for visa application, please submit an Invitation Letter Request (must be signed into SPIE account to apply).
