    Judith Su awarded the Dr. Horace Furumoto Innovations Professional - Young Investigator Award

    SPIE Member Judith Su, assistant professor of optical sciences and biomedical engineering at The University of Arizona, has been named the 2019 recipient of the Dr. Horace Furumoto Innovations Professional - Young Investigator Award by the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS). Su will receive her award at ASMLS 2019, the 39th Annual Conference of the society in March 2019 in Denver, Colorado.

    ASLMS is the world’s largest scientific organization dedicated to promoting research, education and high standards of clinical care in the field of medical laser applications. Given in memory of the genius, leadership, and commitment of Dr. Horace Furumoto, the Young Investigator Award was established in 2007 to recognize and encourage the development of future technology innovators and leaders. Award recipients receive a plaque and $4,500 and will be required to present a brief lecture during the plenary session at the conference highlighting their accomplishments.
