Who or what inspired you to work in science/engineering?
My parents would not allow me to go to art or music school, so I thought the next best "creative" career was to be an engineer.

What are the primary responsibilities of your current job?

I currently oversee and coordinate the efforts of biologists, engineers, and scientists in the application of optical technologies in preclinical studies and investigational clinical studies. We seek to use engineering to answer pertinent biological questions.

What do you wish you had known when first starting out?
Find a mentor! Find a mentor who has encountered challenges that you will or are encountering and use them as a sounding board when dealing with those difficulties.
