Paper Abstract
This work proposes a new wavelength converted broadcast-selective (WCBS) buffer structure. It can deliver each packet
to different delays, which enables flexible management of the buffered packet flows. By rearranging the packets leaving
queue, the highest priority packets can leave first and in preemption process without being affected by the former queue.
Furthermore, we use the WCBS buffer structure to construct an OPS node in output-buffered pattern. The packet loss
and delay performances are studied under different traffic loads at different WCBS dimensions. The result shows that the
performance of high priority packets is improved effectively.
