Advanced Photonix, A Division of OSI Optoelectronics, Announces the Industry’s Largest, Large Area Avalanche Photodiodes (LAAPDs)
Camarillo, Calif. – Advanced Photonix, a division of OSI Optoelectronics, introduces compact and rugged Large Area Avalanche Photodiodes (LAAPDs). Based on proprietary and patented technologies, the new LAAPDs are the largest APDs in the industry, and are available in various sizes, from 3 mm, 5 mm, 10 mm, to 16 mm active area diameters. The devices operate at up to 2000 volts with gains of up to 300. With extremely low noise levels and high stable gain, the photodiodes are offered in cooled or uncooled packages. The large area avalanche photodiodes are available with high sensitivity in Blue, Red, or Deep UV spectral regions down to 150 nm with 120% quantum efficiency. They are ideal for scintillation or direct X-ray detection applications. OSI Laser Diode Launches Pulsed and CW Laser Modules with Extended Wavelengths
EDISON, New Jersey – OSI Laser Diode (OSIL), a leading global supplier of advanced optoelectronics components, introduces the LCW/SCW series of high-power laser modules for pulsed or continuous-wave (CW) applications. The modules’ pulsed, high-peak optical power reaches up to 500 mW and the continuous-wave optical power operates up to 75 mW. The available wavelengths include the new 850 nm, joining the current family of 1310 nm, 1490 nm, 1550 nm, 1625 nm, and 1650 nm. The LCW/SCW series of laser modules are designed to meet the performance requirements of the optical test equipment market and are available in hermetically-sealed, laser-welded packages. Thermoelectric coolers (TECs), temperature-sensing thermistors, and back-facet monitors are also packaging options for superior wavelength stability over a wide temperature range. With single-mode and multimode fiber options, the modules are ideal for free-space applications, optical time-domain reflectometer (OTDR), spectroscopy, photon counting, optical and line-of-sight (LOS) sensors, and talk sets. Advanced Photonix, A Division of OSI Optoelectronics, Introduces Non-Contact, Optical Analog Angular Position Sensor at Photonics West 2020
Camarillo, Calif. – Advanced Photonix, an OSI Optoelectronics Company, announces an innovative, optical analog angular position sensor. The new, breakthrough position sensor provides a continuous analog voltage output ratio-metric to the angular position of the sensor shaft, making it ideal for industrial processes, and aircraft control surfaces applications. The device is contactless, which provides a superior solution to challenges such as contact wear, bouncing under vibration, and arcing at sliding contacts. API’s extraordinary optical analog angular position sensor is fully immune to magnetic interferences with multiple interfaces possible.
