Profile Summary

Drexel University - Electrical and Computer Engineering Department Research Assistant (2008-2012)

Development Optical System for Detection of Early
Precancerous Conditions using White Light
Funded by NSF Grant #0621811
In this work, we used with light spectroscopy and Lorentz-Mie scattering theory to perform nuclear size determination: Investigated oscillatory spectra of tissue phantoms based on polystyrene spheres mimicking
biological cells/nuclei

Bulgarian Academy of Sciences Research Assistant (2004-2007)

Engineered tunable laser systems generating different wavelengths in one single beam as each wavelength can be independently tuned. In this work, we developed tunable lasers based on DYE and semiconductor active me-dia using Fabri-Perot interferometers (Interference Wedge) and ring type resonator cavity. Investigated also optical frequency conversion and amplifier systems, short optical pulse systems for optical communication applications
