Dr. Justus F. Ilgner

Dr. Justus Ilgner attended his medical course in Aachen / Germany, and Manchester, UK, between 1985 and 1992. He graduated from Aachen University of Technology in December 1992 and entered his career in Otorhinolaryngology at the University Hospital Aachen. He became a board certified specialist in Otorhinolaryngology in April 1997 and a Senior Registrar in November 1998. Sub-specialization in Plastic Surgery for the Head and Neck followed in April 2004. He became a board certified instructing surgeon for Plastic Surgery of the Head and Neck in 2004 and Deputy Head of the Department in June 2006. His surgical work covers the whole field of Ear, Nose and Throat including Head and Neck. His research interests are laser surgery, optical diagnostics, biomaterials for middle ear reconstruction and 3D visualization of microsurgery for educational purposes.
