Dr. Brecht Heyde

Brecht Heyde received his M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Ghent University (Belgium) in 2009. In 2013 he obtained his PhD at the University of Leuven (KU Leuven, Belgium) for his work on 2D and 3D cardiac strain imaging. In this field he has published and co-authored over 50 scientific papers in international journals and conference proceedings. He currently holds a postdoctoral research position at the lab of Cardiovascular Imaging and Dynamics (KU Leuven, Belgium) and is a visiting scholar at the Ultrasound Imaging Lab of Duke University (North Carolina, US) in 2015-2016.
