Hotel information

Rooms at special conference rates has been reserved for event attendees. All new reservation requests from attendees must be booked no later than February 1, 2018. The conference rates cannot be guaranteed after the room blocks have been filled.

Taxes & fees

Rates are subject to approximately 14.20% occupancy tax and $2.50 per night HBID assessment fee. Taxes and fees are subject to change. Specific hotel tax will be disclosed on individual confirmation(s).

Government rates
Limited Government rooms @ current per diem rate $228 S/D (subject to change) at San Jose Marriott Hotel available on a first come, first served basis. Government employees are required to show official government ID at check-in.

Exhibitors booking a block of 10 or more rooms

Exhibitors wishing to reserve a block of ten (10) or more hotel rooms may do so by completing the Exhibitor Housing Form (PDF). Reservations can be made by credit card or check for the first night's room and tax for each room blocked with non-refundable deposit, payable to Team San Jose. The Exhibitor deadline date to submit the Exhibitor Housing Form is January 2, 2018.

Reservation changes and cancellations

To cancel or make changes to reservations, contact the Karla Gutierrez at kgutierrez@sanjose.org.  Beginning February 8, 2018 you may contact the hotels directly for any updates or cancellations.

Once you have booked your reservation, please refer to your hotel confirmation for the cut-off date and cancellation policies. Changes and cancellations can be made up to 72 hours prior to your check-in date with no penalty fee. Your hotel may charge a one-night deposit for cancelling within the 72-hour window. Any guest who fails to arrive on the first night reserved will be charged a cancellation fee of one night's room plus tax, and subsequent nights reserved will be cancelled.

They are careful what they claim in writing and often want to make arrangements by phone to avoid a paper trail. Beware of such unsolicited or unofficial housing claims as they can lead to hidden penalties, or no reservations at check-in. Did you book unofficially?

If you have already made hotel reservations through an unofficial solicited source, please contact the hotel directly to verify the validity of your reservation. Additionally, you can contact your credit card company to cancel the charge if you made that reservation under false pretenses or if you call the hotel and find there is no room being held for you via this unofficial housing entity. Some of these unofficial housing entities sell rooms they do not hold at a given hotel, or they will tell you that they could not get you into the hotel they booked for you and switch you to a lower class hotel.
