In memoriam: Colin Green, co-owner and vice president of sales and marketing of PFG Precision Optics

Colin 'Cody' Green

SPIE Member Colin ‘Cody’ Green, 61, co-owner of SPIE Corporate Member PFG Precision Optics and former president of the American Precision Optics Manufacturers Association (APOMA), died 7 March 2017 in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.

According to a statement released by APOMA, PFG was a third-generation family-run business and a leader in high-quality custom optics. Cody, along with his brothers, helped PFG build an exceptional reputation for manufacturing and coating precision optical components. The company is a frequent exhibitor at SPIE events including Photonics West and Defense + Commercial Sensing. Cody frequently served as exhibitor liaison at the events, from 2002 until 2016.

"Cody was a great friend and industry colleague; my words can’t do him justice," SPIE Member Kirk Warden of LaCroix Precision Optics and current APOMA President said in their release.
